Bridget McMullin

I believe that good Interior Design is transportive. I believe that great Interior Design can improve your quality of life by creating an environment that is reflective of the life experience you wish to make for yourself. It can be practical & efficient, decadent & opulent, or it can just be pretty! Your space is a reflection of the life you wish to lead, the experiences that you wish to give others, and is an investment in your future self. You may imagine your family in a wide open kitchen baking cookies for the holidays, or you may see your spouse and yourself aging gracefully in the home you built together. You can envision a work environment that inspires your employees to be productive and gives your customers a never-to-forget experience. The environment built around you plays a part in making your dreams and visions a reality.

When I was 10, my parents decided to move from Philadelphia to New Jersey. For the next year, I spent never ending weekends traveling from one open house to another in my parents attempt to find our new home. I remember taking the floor plans for these spaces, sitting in the car, and drawing better versions of the house I was visiting. Little did I know I was planting the seed for my future in interiors.

Fast-forward to 2001. With an Interior Design degree in hand from Moore College of Art and Design, I set off into the world of commercial design focused on learning as much as I could and sitting for my National Council of Interior Design Exam; my ultimate goal was to own my own Residential and Commercial Firm.

I’ve designed on the television circuit working as a behind the scenes designer on Trading Spaces and then as a featured designer on TLC’s Perfect Proposal. I’ve lead the Philadelphia Interior Design community as the president of ASID PA East, and have traveled the country with The American Society of Interior Designers for seven years both as a National Board Member and as a Committee Chair advising local chapter boards and student chapters. I am a featured speaker for Design Campus Live. I have valued education and practice above all else in my career. I believe the education of my clientele is essential to a positive outcome on any project, be it a one-time consultation or a lifelong relationship. MDG’s business model honors the process of design and celebrates the joy of creation.

The talented team of designers that I am honored to call my employees are creative, talented, and dedicated to the practice of Interior Design. Their technical knowledge regarding construction and architecture, as well as their aesthetic sensibilities in decorating create a holistic experience for our clients. Be it your cozy cottage, your beachside escape, the entrance to your new corporate offices, or the restaurant you always dreamed of opening one day, our ultimate goal is to help our client’s find their “Happy Home”.

Kristen Joyce, NCIDQ

From the start, Kristen has enjoyed working on both commercial and residential design projects.

She began her career in the Philadelphia region, focusing on health care, retail and corporate design. The need to explore all facets of her field brought her to a firm located in South Florida where she designed and managed construction of high-end homes of over 75,000 square feet. Her projects spanned from North Carolina beachfront properties to the private Islands of Chub Cay in the Bahamas.

After earning her NCIDQ Certification, Kristen returned to New Jersey to start a family in Haddonfield and her career with The McMullin Design Group.

Jennifer Napieralski, CID

Jennifer has always dreamed of having a successful career in residential interiors.

After graduating from Arcadia University with a degree in Interior Design, Jennifer headed to Annapolis, Maryland to begin her education in the “real world” of design. Motivated to continue her formal education, she passed the LEED exam and gained her certification as a LEED Green Associate, as well as her CID (Certified Interior Designer) Certification.

Missing her family, the City of Brotherly Love, and being a Jersey Girl, Jennifer moved home and began a three-year position with a reputable furniture store in the heart of Philadelphia. There she gained a vast amount of furniture knowledge and independent clientele. With the love of family and friends supporting her, Jennifer is beyond excited to live her dream every day, transforming her client’s dreams into reality.

Courtney Machamer

After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Moore College of Art & Design, Courtney started with MDG in 2017 as an intern and has worked her way into a designer position.  By starting from the bottom and working her way through MDG’s system she has a deeper understanding of the back-end processes that go into every project.

From the beginning, Courtney knew she wanted to go into residential design and pursue a more personal design experience working directly with clients. Courtney has been developing her skills as a designer under the McMullin team and is dedicated to helping clients achieve their design dreams. Her attention to detail and dedication make her a great fit for the MDG team.

Gillian Foley

Gillian Foley

Purchasing Assistant

Graduate of Georgian Court University, Fine Arts

Gillian Foley

Gillian always wanted to be an artist and used to tell her mother (who, incidentally, is a furniture specifier for a design firm) that she would never work in an office. This led her to art school and a focus on painting. During this time, however, she discovered her true passion: printmaking. After art school, she worked as a fine art framer – framing for the public, galleries and other frame shops – building custom solutions for whatever a client brought to the table. Art framing transitioned into art consulting and working in purchasing for commercial design firms over the next 10 years. Gillian has found that her “backward” thinking was a perfect match for her new career path and for the purchasing department at MDG.
