Spinnaker- North & South Tower Garage Lobbies

After fifty years of patchwork renovations in the garage lobbies, this 400-unit oceanfront complex in the resort town of Sea Isle City, New Jersey, decided it was time to elevate the space to the aesthetic level expected of a multi-million-dollar property.

My goal was to create an arrival experience—both in the sense of arriving at a relaxing destination and in the sense that you have “arrived” in life. To achieve this upscale feel, I selected layered material applications that created a rich atmosphere while also serving practical functions. The garage lobbies experience constant use and are susceptible to flooding during severe winter storms, so durability was a key consideration.

By creating dedicated pathways to the elevators, using signage as part of the arrival experience, and focusing on materials that could withstand carts, beach chairs, and all the necessities of shore living, I created a space designed to age gracefully for decades to come.

My services included space planning, finish and material specifications, electrical design and detailing, as well as 3D modeling and presentation materials for review by the Board and Homeowners Association.
