Baller’s Basement

When you play hard for a living, creating a space where you can focus on your game and relax with the family is a balancing act.  Our client wanted a space where he could work with his management team, study past games in large format, and be a great working dad in the process.  The MDG got to work on creating a sub-level Basketball Cave for this talented professional.

We knew from the get-go that the very large shoe collection was going to be a critical design element in the room as well as the personal memorabilia.  The dark grey backdrop with strategic lighting spots highlighted all the fascinating collections including a shot glass collection from the client’s professional travels.  Vivid pops of color create graphic fun throughout the room.

This space is divided into several useful areas. The entry pays homage to a talented career, the viewing room allows for large format viewing of the latest games for strategy and research, there is a small gaming area as well as a beverage area, and a kid’s room for when work and kiddie duties call at the same time.
